Mil-spec CNC · Vietnam
Mil-Spec CNC Machining for Defense and Tactical Components
Precision-machined parts for ground support, training systems, range equipment and dual-use defense applications. Send a drawing: we sign an NDA, check export scope and match you with up to 3 vetted CNC suppliers that already export to the US, Japan, Korea and Singapore. We reply within 24 business hours. Free for buyers.
Why buyers send mil-spec CNC work here
It comes down to the match: suppliers that fit your part, from the first quote.
Matched by specialisation
Your RFQ goes to up to 3 suppliers that make mil-spec parts regularly, picked for your material, part size and tolerance. Not a general directory.
Professional suppliers
Suppliers in the network quote to your drawing, communicate clearly and keep you updated while your parts are made.
You deal with the supplier
Quotes, terms and delivery are agreed between you and the supplier. Free for buyers.
Why milcnc.com
Built for defense-adjacent manufacturing, not mass-market CNC
Defense and tactical buyers ask for things general CNC marketplaces are not set up to deliver: full material traceability, tight tolerance on hardened steels, FAI on first articles and discreet handling of drawings under NDA. We screen every RFQ and every supplier around those expectations.
Traceable materials
Mill certificates with heat numbers on every batch. Lot tracking from raw stock through final inspection. Country of origin certificates on request. Record retention agreed per program, seven years is common.
Tight tolerance
RFQs routed down to ±0.005 mm, typical ±0.01 mm. IT5 grade fits, Ra 0.8 µm surface finish. CMM inspection with FAI per drawing. GD&T including profile of surface, true position and total runout.
Discretion and NDA
Mutual NDA before any technical data is reviewed. Drawings go only to the suppliers matched to your RFQ, who sign an NDA first. Per-program non-compete on request.
How it works
Quote to delivery in four stages
NDA and review
Mutual NDA signed first. We review the drawing for completeness, check its export sensitivity and flag risk before any supplier sees it.
Match and quote
We reply within 24 business hours and match the RFQ with up to 3 suppliers. Each sends DFM feedback and a quote with material certs, FAI plan and lead time.
FAI and production
First Article Inspection on every program. The FAI is approved before batch release. CMM and optical comparator inspection.
Pack and ship
EXW default; FOB Cat Lai or Cai Mep on request. Mill certs and the FAI report ship with the lot. Packaging to buyer spec.
You contract with the supplier directly. We do not add a margin to the part price. How FAI, traceability and inspection records work.
Capability specs
Tolerance and process capability we route
The range of RFQs we match to suppliers. Every part is confirmed by the supplier's DFM review and FAI, not by this table.

| Surface finish (typical) | Ra 1.6 µm |
| Angular tolerance | 10 arcmin |
| Threads (metric) | 5H/5g, 6H/6g |
| Threads (imperial) | 2B/2A, 3B/3A |

Materials
Stocked and sourced for mil-spec work
Mill certificates traceable to heat number on all batches. Heat treatment, anodizing (Type II / Type III hardcoat), black oxide, passivation and powder coating handled by the supplier in-house or through its vetted local partners.
Application scope

- Training simulator hardware
- Range and target system components
- Tactical accessories (rails, mounts, non-firearm)
- Optics enclosures and camera housings
- Communications equipment chassis
- UAV and unmanned platform structural parts (not export-controlled)
- Field-deployed kit hardware
Out of scope
- Firearm components (receivers, barrels, fire control)
- Munitions, ordnance, explosives hardware
- Missile / rocket airframe structural parts
- Night vision optics / military-grade IR
- Encryption hardware
- Anything ITAR / USML controlled

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle ITAR-controlled drawings?
No. We do not accept ITAR-controlled technical data. Sending ITAR technical data to a foreign person, including a supplier in Vietnam, needs US Department of State authorization, and we will not handle drawings, specs or files that fall under USML control. We work on commercial-grade defense, ground support, training, range and dual-use components where the drawings are not export-controlled. If you are unsure of your part's classification, consult your export-compliance officer before sending files.
Is milcnc.com a machine shop?
No. milcnc.com is a matching service. We screen your RFQ, check it against our export scope and match it with up to 3 CNC machining suppliers that fit the part. You receive quotes from those suppliers and contract with them directly. The service is free for buyers.
What materials do matched suppliers machine for mil-spec parts?
Aluminum 6061-T6 and 7075-T6, stainless steel 304 and 316, titanium Grade 2 and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), tool steel D2, H13 and SKD11, brass, copper and engineering plastics including PEEK, POM and PTFE. Mill certificates are available on request. Heat treatment, anodize Type II and Type III hardcoat, black oxide, passivation and powder coating are handled by the supplier in-house or through its local finishing partners.
What tolerance can be held for tactical components?
The RFQs we route go down to ±0.005 mm linear, with ±0.01 mm typical. Bore fits to H6, shaft to h5, IT5 grade. Surface finish best Ra 0.8 µm, typical Ra 1.6 µm. GD&T covers flatness, perpendicularity, parallelism, runout, total runout and profile of surface. Inspection on CMM with a full FAI report on first articles.
How are traceability and material certification handled?
Every batch should ship with mill certificates traceable to heat number. Matched suppliers log lot numbers per work order and keep inspection records for the period your program requires; seven years is common. Country of origin certification is available on request. For dual-use end items, we ask buyers to confirm end-use and end-user before matching, so the order fits both Vietnam export rules and the buyer's import compliance.
Can you sign an NDA before receiving drawings?
Yes. We sign a mutual NDA before receiving any technical data, and each matched supplier signs an NDA before it sees your drawing. Non-compete clauses are available on a per-program basis. Drawings are shared only with the suppliers matched to your RFQ and removed from our files on request after the RFQ closes.
Do you or your suppliers hold ITAR registration or AS9100?
milcnc.com is not registered with the US Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and holds no AS9100 or other defense approval. Some suppliers hold ISO certificates of their own. If your program needs a specific certificate, say so in the RFQ; we match only suppliers that can show it, and you should verify the certificate yourself before ordering.
